PLEASE NOTE: Entries must be purchased individually by each runner entering.

The race is split into 2 waves: A-RACE (Sub 20min Entry Standard) at 7.00pm and B-RACE at 7.30pm.

In order to be considered for the A-RACE you MUST select this option and indicate your SEASONS BEST and REALISTIC TARGET TIME.

The B-RACE will feature ‘PB Chaser Pacers’ who will run at paces given on the back of their race T-shirts to encourage those of all abilities in the mass race to achieve their race targets.

Please note, the current 20min entry standard for the A race may be made faster depending on entry numbers. The decision on entry to the A-RACE is that of the Race Director, please email chris@runningnortheast.co.uk for any enquiries.

Please check your date of birth against your declared Age Group:

U20 Born Between 01/09/2001 – 31/08/2004
Senior Born On or Before 31/08/2001
Masters Categories (V35, V40 etc) change on your birthday eg V45 is 45 or over on the day of the event.

Quayside 5k Wheelchair Race – We have also added a Quayside 5k Wheelchair Race – We have also added a IPC Para Athletics Classification Wheelchair race to the programme for 2022, provisionally starting 2mins ahead of the B-Race (arrangements subject to change). This is necessary as all athlete information must be collected for safety reasons and for the results to be correct.

Please respect the administration of changes is not manageable in the days leading into the event.

The organisers hold the rights to amend/cancel any event at late notice. This includes any aspect of the event such as race time, date, venue, fees or prizes. In the event of a cancellation that is beyond the control of the organisers, such as adverse weather conditions, attempts will be made to reschedule the event and entries will be automatically transferred. Where an event can not be rescheduled committed contractors will be paid and remaining funds will be offered as partial refunds or donated to charity. Where an event is not fully cancelled or rescheduled and the participant chooses not to race, they will not be entitled to a refund.
