Lucy Turner represented GB in the multi-event international at Cardiff over the weekend, running a pb in her first (hurdles) and last event (800m) on the way to helping the GB team win the match.   Lucy’s time in the hurdles also set a new club record.   Also gaining international honours was Amelia Bateman competing for England across in Europe and setting a new indoor pb in the high jump.

Meanwhile at the Scottish Championships the event got off to a great start with Jack Halpin taking Gold in the U17 Shot Putt.   The sprints also produced great performances with Joy Eze taking the gold medal in the 60m with Megan Costello close behind for the bronze medal.  Not only did Joy win the gold but she set a Championship best and club record.  Late on Josh McKeown ran a great race to take the bronze medal in the 200m.   Close to medals in 4th place were Lucy Giles in the 300m and Matthew Lawson in the 60m.   Congratulations also go to Phillipa Ellis, Emily Parrott, Matthew Lumb, Daniel Lennie, Liam Eastaugh, Ava Taperell, Matilda Grierson and Dale Turner who gained valuable championship experience against good competition.

Jason Nicholson traveled down to the London Games at Lea Valley and broke his own 60m Hurdles club record winning both rounds as he prepares for his first British Champs.
