Congratulations to Sophie Littlemore who threw a pb of 13m 61cms to finish 8th in the Shot Putt at the British Champs, also to Niall Flannery finishing in 6th place in the 400m Hurdles final and Lewis Moses in 10th place in the 5k.
Meanwhile at the Typhoo DSE Nationals in Coventry Emily Stewart (T38/F38) took home 4 gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal and Joseph Gray (T47/F47) was successful in sprints, relays and long jump, despite nursing an injury. Both athletes also had team responsibilities looking after the younger athletes. Also special mention to new athlete Michael Buchan (T11) who competed in the long jump and the 100 and 200m with his guide, Georgia Whitfield. As well as achieving big pb’s Michael was awarded the Endeavour Trophy.
A big weekend of athletics also saw Lucy Turner successfully competing for Great Britain in Tallin in the European Cups Combined Events and Emily Gargan competing in the Triple Jump at the Mannheim International. Congratulations to both Lucy Turner and Emily Gargan.
