Well it was a tad wet for the first NEYDL match of the season. Our younger athletes U13, U15 and U17 performed brilliantly in terrible weather to produce some great performances. For some it was their first competition in a Gateshead vest and for others an opportunity to sharpen up ahead of the National Leagues.

Many thanks to the officials and parents without whose help it wouldn’t be possible to put on competition. Hopefully the next time we all go out together the weather will be kinder.
