An important message to everyone coaching members of Gateshead Harriers and Athletics Club.
We have discovered that the England Athletics database on coaches has incorrect entries and we are not sure who is actively coaching, whether they have appropriate qualifications or if their coaching licences are up-to-date.
The onus is on the club to ensure that all coaches involved in coaching our members hold current licenses. To that end we will be surveying coaches taking sessions held at the stadium, the stadium grounds and in the sports academy building.
Please be understanding if a club official asks to see your licence over the coming weeks. The intention is to keep our records up-to-date so that we can safeguard both our coaches and our club members.
