The club had a big turnout of about 50 runners in this year’s Junior Great North Run.
Ines Curran and David Race were clear winners of the under 17 races, a reflection of their fine recent track form. Harry Garret pulled away from his rivals to win a very competitive under 11s race.
Other top 10 finishers in their races were Rosie Hughes, Jessica Ord, Aoife Bell. Alex Lienard and Matthew Waters.
Earlier in the day, Chloe Wellings was an excellent winner of the womens race in the Great North 5K. Amy Baker also ran well, finishing as 5th woman. Well done to all the runners, it was a very positive showing by the club.
