Well, they talk about Super Saturday, this was “Wonderful Weekend” as far as Gateshead Harriers Endurance athletes were concerned. It was the London Marathon weekend and the club had 9 athletes running in the Marathon, some for the first time, credit and well done to all, those taking part were, Anji Andrews, Charlotte Perkins, Philipa…

Over 30 of the club’s young athletes competed Elswick Harriers junior races on Good Friday. The club had two individual wins, a 3rd place and many other good individual performances. Running his first race for the club, Alex Lienard was 4th in the under 11 Boys followed by another debutant, Sam Emery, in 6th place….

Another busy weekend for our Endurance Athletes over Easter with the last of the seasons Relays – the popular Elswick races on Good Friday, the club were well represented in all races on a very warm day. The Senior Ladies had a really good turn out with 6 teams, a mix of Vets and Senior…

The Monday hurdles group is taking a short break for the Easter holidays. It resumes on Monday 29th April.
