Quayside Junior 3k for u13/15/17 runners:
We are committed to supporting junior grassroots athletics by reducing financial barriers to entry, and would like to develop top level junior athletics competition.
As well as reducing the cost of entry to £5 and offering prizemoney, we would like to invite all top North East Junior athletes to compete in the event with a free Elite Junior Entry provided they meet the criteria below in the last 12 months.
The John Stephenson BEM Trophy will be presented to the winner of the Junior Quayside 3k race – named after Gateshead Harriers legendary master coach.

Junior 3k Elite Entry Criteria
Top 3 in North Eastern X-Country in (2022)
Top 3 in North Eastern Track 800m, 1500m, 3000m
North East Representation at UK Intercounty X-Country
Northern X-Country, English Schools X-Country, National X-Country Top 10
English Schools & UK Championship Track 800m, 1500m, 3000m
Any Other Exceptional Performance
