Senior and U20 Success at Championships

It’s been a full on few weeks for our Senior and U20 athletes with Championships at Northern, England, National and International level. The greatest achievement has been Joy Eze who not only won an individual Bronze medal at the U20 European Championships in Tallin, Estonia but also helped the U20 Women to a Gold medal in the 4x100m relay. Other performances (in alphabetical order) in finals at these championships are listed below (apologies if anyone has been missed, it is quite a list).

In a couple of weeks August brings the U15 and U17 championships to the fore and hopefully our younger athletes will take motivation from these successes. It will also be nice to see a big turnout of athletes at the North East Championships in Middlesbrough on 21/22 August – the link to enter is NECAA T&F Championships 2021 – NEMAA (weebly.com) – Entries close on Saturday 7th August – don’t miss out.
