The Club had really good day at the above Championships on Saturday 14th February at Hetton, the Ladies section of the club had 4 teams of 4 runners in each team competing and they continued there recent success at the Cathedral Relays in January by coming away with 3rd placed North East Championship Medals. This team consisted of Sophie Whickham, Michelle Nolan, Morvan Lean and Faye Buckton and as I say these were really supported well by 3 other teams.
The Men followed the Ladies and they managed to turn out 5 teams of 6 runners in each team and they came away with Silver Championship Medals with a very young team, with the “B” Team also finishing in the top 10 finishers.
The members of the medal winning team were Barry Maskell, Jed Marshall, Conrad Franks, James Cripwell, Rob Dobson and Sam Brand.
There was great support on the day with both the Female and Male runners giving plenty of vocal support, thus leading to a great club atmosphere, well done to all that took part.
