Not this year – we alternate between Hammer and Discus every year as we can’t fit them both into the programme

I was with a contingent from Berwickshire at Gateshead on Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, friendly and expertly run.
I meant to ask this but forgot – why is it called the Tartan Games ?

It was originally to celebrate the laying of the Tartan Track and has retained it’s name. Glad you enjoyed it.
