This year the format has changed from a team competition to a regional individual competition which is being held at Temple Park. Athletes must take part if 4 events, 1 each from the sections below PLUS an additional event from either B or C:
Section A – 2 lap race or 4 lap race
Section B – standing long jump or vertical jump (girls only)/ standing triple jump (boys only)
Section C – shot putt or speed bounce
To enter you must Live in Tyne and Wear, Attend School in Tyne and Wear or be an England Athletics registered member of a Tyne and Wear based club. Athletes must be in school year 9 or 10.

This event also serves as a trial for the Regional final which wil be held on 17th March.
