It was a busy weekend of athletics with the U20 and U23 Championships in Bedford, the YDL Lower league match in Rotherham, the Northumberland Minors Schools competition at Gateshead, the English Schools Regional multi-events at York and the NEYDL at Middlesbrough
Jasmine Moss ran a brilliant series of 200m races to secure the bronze medal in the U20 Women England Championships at Bedford. This should secure her place on the plane to Mannheim this coming weekend to represent England
Jason Nicholson reached the final of the U23 Hurdles where he placed 6th position and Amelia Bateman was 5th in the U20 Womens High Jump.
The results of the English Schools multi events aren’t on Power of 10 yet but several Gateshead athletes performed well to progress to the finals in September – keep an eye on Power of 10 for those results
