Note of Club AGM 21 October 2020
The meeting expressed its appreciation of the club’s achievements during the year, as recorded in the various reports.
It was agreed that holders of the officer and committee positions should continue in their roles for a further year.
The Treasurer’s report was accepted. Attention was drawn to the need to increase membership income, from existing and new members, as this had declined.
There were 2 main discussion points
- First, how the interest in volunteering from some parents could be used to support coaching groups
- Second, whether high achieving young athletes could assist in attracting new members, particularly from schools
Both topics will be considered by the committee in more detail.
Updated versions of the club’s welfare policies and codes of conduct are now on the website and all concerned should read them.
The meeting recorded its thanks to Joan Smith for her huge contribution to the club in recent years, as she is leaving the area.
