Ava Tapperell lowered the club record in the 1200m at Sale on Sunday in the YDL Lower match by 7 seconds during a pretty wet afternoon of athletics.
The team was depleted following great performances at the inter-counties match the previous day and the athletes there battled hard to finish in 5th place just behind Sheffield. This performance means that the 4th and final match is crucial and the team must finish above Sheffield to retain their Premier League status.
Well done to all the athletes who turned out, particularly to Ava with that fantastic run, some fantastic performances and many PBs. With 1 or 2 more athletes in crucial field events we know we will have a great team to take to Liverpool on Saturday 16th July.
