There are grants available to top level runners from Gateshead Council. The application is simple and athletes can get anything from £100 to £400 and a gym/track pass. Apply at www.gateshead.gov.uk/People%20and%20Living/Grants/Sportgrants.aspx
The above Championships were held within the boundary of Pontefract Race Course, which although reasonably flat it turned out to be quite a testing circuit for our Female and Male athletes who represented the club. It was really good to see a strong representation of our young runners in the U/13 and U/15 age groups…
