The club fielded 4 teams in the Northern Road Relays, held at Sports City Manchester, on Sunday 23 September. As ever the competition was tough in the surprisingly warm conditions.
- In the first race, our 13 Boys team of Ben Asquith, Oliver Ezeoke and Sonny Lewins were 22nd, a creditable result and good experience for them;
- The under 15 Boys team of Theo Barron, David Race and Ethan McGlen finished 12th; they were disappointed not to make the first 10 but it was still a good performance with one runner fighting a cold to run;
- In the Senior Men, following a fine first leg by Conrad Franks for the A team, James Cripwell, Ross Christie, Matthew Linsley, Steve Asquith and Simeon Greenwood held on to finish 27th, sufficient to qualify the club for the National Road Relays;
- The B team of Kevin Connolly, Martin Slater, Will Dixon, Steven Medd, Peter Grimoldy and Chris Paton finished 61st. A special mention to Will for running the fastest leg in his senior debut.
Well done to everybody who competed and thanks to all for their support.
