Race Reports – Watergate Park, Farringdon and Anne Allan Memorial Races

A brief report of some of our young and senior athletes racing in late summer trail and cross country races:

• Watergate Park 30 August – we had 2 winners in Theo Barron, under 15 boys, and Ben Asquith, under 13 boys. Cassius Dornan and Millie Watson were both 6^th in their respective under 13 races and Jesse Dornan was 8^th in the under 11 girls. Steven Asquith continued his recent good form to finish 2^nd in the senior 5k.
• Sunderland Harriers, Farringdon Cross Country, 1 September – on a demanding course, with strong competition, most of our athletes were competing for the first time in their new age groups. Top performer was William Wells, 4^th in the under 13 boys. In her cross country debut, Millie Watson was 15^th in the under 13 Girls. Theo Barron was 6^th in the under 15 Boys and Jessica Ord, 9^th in the under 15 girls, strong running by both.  Although below par, Ava Taparell did well to finish 14^th.
• Alnwick Harriers, Anne Allan Memorial Races, 2 September – in these Coquet Valley trail races, Sonny Lewins was our first junior race finisher, 3^rd in the 8-12 age group followed in by Skye Marshall, Evan Lewins and Cameron Marshall all in the same age group. In the senior 10k, Nathan Marshall finished 63^rd.
