This annual team cross country event took place on Saturday 7th January and started the New Year will for the club with the Men/Boys team finishing 8th overall and the Women/Girls team finishing in 5th position.
In the U11 Boys Peter Davies was 4th and Louise Gibson 16th.
The U13 Boys were 8th team home with Joseph Johnson in 23rd, Amir Raviv 27th and Alex Kay 38th. They were backed up by Oliver Potts and Harry Stewart. Colgan Thomspon finished in a strong position but was unfortunately disqualified for an infringement.
The U13 Girls were 3rd team home with Emma Blackburn in 6th, Emily Collingwood in 9th and Maeve Taggart in 20th. Jessica Lienard, Alice Maguire and Larkin Reid provided back up and finished strongly.
The U15 Boys and Girls could not finish full teams but Alfie Cook was 6th, Cole Reid 19th and Elle Sperring 11th. The U17 Men likewise were unable to field a full team but were represented by Sam Punn in 15th and Matthew Atkinson in 22nd.
The U17/U20W were 5th team home with Iona Johnstone in 5th, Sophie Johnstone in 19th and Jessica Barrett 35th.
The Senior and Veteran Women were represented by Shona Haston, Gillian Manford, Kim Grimoldby, Bethany Curran, Debra Scott, Leanne Parkin, Suzy Potter and Elizabeth Medd. Shona, Gillian and Kim all finished in the Top 20 runners and the Veteran Women were 13th team.
The Senior and Veteran Men were 2nd team in the Seniors and 8th team in the Veteran Men. Calum Johnson was 1st, Conrad Franks 9th and Dan Alexander 15th closely followed home in 16th by James Cripwell. Jack Douglas, Peter Grimolby, Paul Attley, Sam Hansen, Stuart Collier, Fergus Spencer, Chris Parkin, Stuart Milburn, Andy Smith and Michael Potter all finished well in the very large, strong field.
