Following on from the great turn out and success of our Young Athletes our Senior Ladies & Men ran in their numbers to support what they had achieved, as this competition is all about the strength of a club in all age groups.
The Senior Ladies as ever worked hard and with Liz Raven (having a great run) in 19th position, she was backed up by Sophie Wickham and Katie Taylor (good to see her back) with the Team finishing in 9th place. There is also a veteran team section as well within the Senior races and Lisa Atkinson, Stacey Armstrong and Angela Kirtley were the counters for this section of the competition.
The Senior Men were last race of the day and it was a very good performance and turn out by our Athletes, Conrad Franks a great supporter of our mens team finished with 3rd individual medal which set the team up well, he was backed by James Cripwell (just moved up from U/20 level) who ran a very good competative race in strong competiton to finish in 8th place, and with the ever reliable Kevin Connolly being the final counter, the team finishing 3rd. Again as in the Womans race there was a Veteran team section the counters being Martin Slater, Steven McCloy and Jeremy Armstrong.
A really good day for the club, showing that our Road & X-country section is alive and kicking, well done.
