Herrington Country Park provided a testing return to competition on 6 January after the seasonal break. Although the weather stayed reasonably fair, the hilly course was very muddy and slippery, with the going worsening as the races progressed. Just to let you all know that the track will be closed on the 23/1/18 evening due to a Gateshead F C v Workington kick off 7.45 pm track usually closes a hour and a half earlier. Indoor track is open as usual.
It has been announced that Sam Brand (Gateshead Harrier) has been selected to represent the Isle-of-Man at the Commonwealth Games, Sam who is a multi disciplined athlete will compete in the Road Cycling Team along side Mark Cavendish, (winner of many Tour-de-France stages), we wish Sam all the very best.
NEW competition form is out on social media for the 3rd Gateshead Indoor match including Pole Vault and Triple Jump for this specific match. LJ will return for matches 4 & 5. The entry link is also up now on https://www.race-results.co.uk/results/2018/
